Snap Chess

Delete your data

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Overview

Snap Chess stores a small amount of data on our servers so streaks and progress can sync to your device — an anonymous device identifier, and optionally a username you choose. There is no email/password login. You can delete all server-side data tied to your device at any time.

2. What gets deleted

Deletion removes your username (if you created one), streak history, total tactics solved, and any feedback messages linked to your device identifier from our servers. Local caches on your device are cleared when you delete from inside the app.

3. Delete in the app (instant)

Open Snap Chess → Profile → Delete my data. Confirm in the dialog. You can also use Delete my data on the username onboarding screen if you have not claimed a username yet. Deletion is immediate for server data when this succeeds.

4. Reinstalled the app?

On most Android devices, the same device identifier is restored after reinstall, so Profile → Delete my data still targets your existing server profile. If deletion succeeds, your prior progress is removed from our servers.

5. Request deletion without the app

If you cannot open Snap Chess, submit a request below. Include your contact email and, if you remember it, the username you chose in the app. Reinstalling the app and using Profile → Delete my data is faster when that is possible.

So we can confirm deletion or ask for missing details.

6. Processing time

In-app deletion is processed immediately. Web requests submitted below are handled within 30 days. We may email you at the address you provide if we need more information.

7. Questions

See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect. For other questions, include them in the form below or use Feedback in the app Profile tab.
